Living in Brooklyn — where Chinatown meets K-Town, where Arabic cafes sit next to Spanish bodegas — I saw the problem everywhere. Tourists hesitating outside authentic restaurants because they couldn't read the menu. Locals missing out on incredible mom-and-pop shops because of language barriers. The best food experiences were being lost in translation.
